If your container is flagged for inspection, we can unpack your container in a secure area within our CFS for inspection, helping you avoid detention charges for using your container longer than expected.

As is the case for many other Pacific islands, the final leg of Guam freight arrives via one of two modes: ocean freight or air freight.

Guam ocean freight ships in two different ways:

  • Less-than-Container (LCL) Shipments/Consolidations
  • Full Container Load (FCL) Shipments

Approved manages via our warehouse in City of Industry, CA. We then move ocean freight to Guam via weekly sails from Southern California.

Finally, when your cargo makes its way to either a cargo ship or plane, and/or over the road (i.e., via truck). This can be especially true when you’re shipping freight from the U.S. mainland to Guam. Whether you need help coordinating a single freight mode or a shipment that leverages all four of them, we can handle it all for you, including intermodal freight and transshipments.

Several ocean freight carriers stop at the port in Guam. We work closely with a steamship line that offers weekly departures from the West Coast of the U.S. for regular, dependable ocean freight shipments to Guam.

They operate a Container Freight Station (CFS) on Guam, where your container can be securely unloaded for inspection. In other words, if you experience any challenges with Guam customs, we have on-the-ground resources to assist.

Approved offers weekly sails to Guam. In order to guarantee your freight is loaded on the next departure, your freight must be at our City of Industry, CA terminal no later than 12:00 noon (PST) the Friday before the sailing.

Transit time from California to Guam is 14 days for ocean freight.

After arrival on Guam, please allow for at least 48 hours for the container to be offloaded, cleared through customs, and made available for delivery or will call.
